Screen printing and special effects come together in our two projects competing in the 2018 FESPA Awards.
For the international competition dedicated to excellence in industrial printing, this year we decided to put our best foot forward.
After the Silver Award obtained in 2016 and the bronze won in 2017 with our 3D Shoes in the Special Effects category, we are ready to compete again!
The first project presented at this year’s FESPA Awards is. Invisible Ink.
We chose a photo of a beautiful landscape to try an experimental technique that blends digital printing with the screen printing process. The result is … magical.
Illuminated with a special light, some parts of the image become colored, coming alive with very special red hues.
The secret lies in an invisible ink, so far used only in other industries, applied directly to the print.
If you like the special effect of Invisible Ink, vote for it here.
The People’s Choice Award is up for grabs!
Instead, the second project is called Naïve Colors.
It is an artistic print on wood ash wood executed in 8-color screen printing, by master artist Armellin and commissioned by Azienda Agricola Picech.
