Industrial screen printing is always evolving.
The demand for new exclusive screen printing products results in our work in a continuous process of experimentation and validation.
Aesthetic tests-in search of differentiating effects-travel hand in hand with technical tests to ensure screen printing solutions are resistant to weathering, extreme thermal conditions, chemicals and washing, and mechanical stresses.
The goal is to offer aesthetically enhancing results for brands while fully meeting the requirements of technical specifications-as in the case of Automotive badges.

New screen printing products, already tested
The most frequent tests are carried out for high-thickness emblems.
Among screen printing products, they are definitely the ones with the most aesthetic potential overall.
Hence the importance of continuous research into new materials, inks and adhesives to create innovative effects and amazing aesthetic results:
Inks – different ink lines are evaluated for aesthetic tests, selected for the specific material (e.g., PVC, polyurethane, etc.) or tested on innovative materials or new composite screen printing products. Aesthetic tests are combined with colorfastness tests and more in-depth tests carried out in the R&D Laboratory.
Adhesives-we test the selected adhesive, or several types of adhesives, on one or more materials by simulating the final application surface. This is followed by seal tests, performed in the laboratory or with external exposure.

The R&D Laboratory: the heart of experimentation
At the heart of all this testing and verification work is the Research and Development Laboratory, which works in synergy with production and the commercial area.
Prototypes are made and “put to the test” here with the goal of creating new screen printing products that conform to specifications, standards and customers’ particular needs
To ensure these conditions, technicians use special machinery such as:
Climate chamber – this instrument simulates behavior under various climatic situations, transport and operating conditions with temperature and humidity controlled tests.
QUV Test – screen printing products tested with the QUV Test are subjected to accelerated aging tests to check for damage caused by sunlight and nighttime light.
By experimenting, testing and stressing materials and prototypes, we can validate new screen printing products before customer verifications.
We can be more timely and also more reliable.
And it’s all thanks to our R&D Laboratory.
